A Few dug up tracks using Reason and FL Studio

Short sample looped – can make this one longer !!!! sample from Eric Gale.

Another sample based track “Soldier”

2nd Sampled based track called “Talib” because I used it for a Talib Kweli remix before

A Jazzy Neo Soul track I made – mainly for the studio. Will replace the bass with live bass

The sampling was done using mainly Re-Cycle and reason which I find pretty easy to use. Re-cycle allows you to automatically chop up audio and uses Reason to map the individual segments into a keyboard.

  1. Great sound, can you share with me some details about drums sounds you used in the track : “2nd Sampled based track called “Talib” because I used it for a Talib Kweli remix before”
I love your kick and snare drums
    Thanks for your website

    1. I believe the drums at the end of the samples phrase are actually part of the sample itself, however the main drums are from FL Studio, but not the standard drums set. I will need to have another look when I get home tonight.

        1. Thanks mate. I actually went home to search for that track and it seems I made it in FL Studio on an older laptop and no longer have the FL studio file, only the MP3 – shame. Anyway I tend to use drums samples from here and there around the net. What I use nowadays it some retro synth drum samples, but EQ’s and filter passing is what make them stand out. I generally run each drum, kick, snare, hat through an individual EQ or filter and tweak until I get the sound I want. I have no sound engineering experience but just use my ears to fine tune.
