I normally use my hardware for playing the keys, I use a Nord Electro 5D. However, for a change of sound I often like to use a VST. My favourite is definitely the Velvet 2 VST by AIR Music Technology.
For such a cheap price it has five electric pianos each with seventy awesome presets. It is based on Fender Rhodes Suitcase, Rhodes MK I and MK II stage pianos, Wurlitzer Hohner Pianet-T. The sounds are perfectly emulated to add that magic to your productions. You can even change every aspect of the sound e.g. Tube drive, timbre, dynamic response etc. You can even add pedal and keyboard mechanical sounds for that extra realism.
It also has a vintage mode for you to tap into that timeless sound you hear in classic recordings of the past.
Even if you don’t like twiddling with knobs and settings. The available presets are perfect. I often leave the settings in the presets just how they are. The only thing I tend to adjust is the volume output. It tends to be on the quiet side at default so I usually bring that up a notice, but other than that its perfect. One of the best Rhodes R&B VSTs on the market.
Thanks for the advice
