Apple loops are uncompressed high quality audio files that work natively in Logic Pro or Garageband. They contain the key, tempo and instrument details so you can make adjustments to the loops (change key / tempo etc) in order to fit your projects.

Since they are .aiff files, they can also be used in other DAW’s such as ableton live.
